lyrics

Verse 1 - E Luv
Gotta get my mind right - throw my scabbard aside
Tense up on the sword grip to focus all of the power I derive
Never the one to start the shi- but I'll finish it
And end it to end all wars - peace is my vision/keep the defensive
What the fu-- they thought - that E Luv ain't had no heart?
I can block thermonuclear warheads mounted to railguns automatically shot
With but only my sword - newest abilities I wield upon my return
That's quite the change so let me show you what else I learned

I strike at the 9 points of entry - my motions flowing with fluidity
Then practice my posturing and tense up on those points with rigidity
Impenetrable - everything in my stance stands protected
Everready - ready for anything anybody can throw at mE, it's impressive
The sword has incredible balance - my weapon of choice has a good weight
Better than guns - the coward's weapon only allows you to concentrate hate
But through the blade all emotions pass through it like a conduit
After all, what's more powerful - having the power to kill or not using it

That type of power can change the world, save the universe, fix my life
Push me closer to darkness or light - I like the latter, I'm not gon' lie
Yet I fear it's the only way to unlock hidden abilities - seriously
It's appealing - reclaiming my psyche from a life that's killin' mE
Quite literally these are the thoughts I think, thrust into every motion
All the bullshi- I've been put through for no reason - I must be the chosen
The Egregious I still stands tall but it's much too early to call
Some say it's my fault - but it's nothing I couldn't handle to become immortal

Verse 2 - E Luv
Gotta get my weight up - what the fu--, back in the day this was nothin'
Been away too long, put the ball through my legs and my lungs are burnin'
But I'm gonna force this - dwelling on weakness is useless and frivolous
I go for the layup and miss, the awkwardness - I'm a fu--ing mess
To the free throw line - back in the day we used to call them pre throws
Helps adjust my tracking so I throw up a bunch of those
That's more like it, drainin' shi- - 80% lifetime
What's fu--in' scary was that I'm 50% from the half court stripe

From that Buffalo Grove Championship to my run in Michigan
Back to BG - I hoop in the darkness, hittin' all types of shi-
Hoopin' in bitter coldness, settle in - make my peace with the basket
As long as there's a spot of dryness, fu-- it - I be out there practicin'
Doin' my drills in low to no visibility is what it's about
Get me on the court in daytime or inside - it'll literally be lights out
What the fu-- fools know about hoopin' in rain, sleet, and snow?
Last name ain't Malone but the conditions accentuate weighted clothing

Never had a problem with handles - made opponents scramble and scatter
May be 5' 6" but I always carried myself like I was taller
Not a point guard, I don't know shi- about settin' up no offense
I'm a ballin' as- small forward that could break down defenses
Plus my own defense is vicious - physical yet killed you with finesse
To lessen the flagrants but that wasn't my greatest strength
Which was picking kids first/typically picked last - dubbed weakest
Bringing out their best because it's fun and they always played the hardest

Verse 3 - E Luv
Gotta get my lines typed - rap that shi- out tight, make it right
Motherfu--az trippin' off that free verse style of the poetry I write
So unconfined - so undefined - unrefined, nope - yeah you wish
Always gotta categorize shi-, but I gave you the word - it was Egregious
Get that shi- straight - motherfu--az hate - a nuisance at best
Punk as- editors trying to improve on shi- they have no business
Openin' their mouth to say shi- against - it ain't for everybody
And until you've fully experienced it don't even fu--in' bother me

Don't come at me, this shi- is intimate - intimately designed
Save all that fu--in' breath - don't waste my motherfu--in' time
I do line after line after motherfu--in' line
And an average song tends to have 72 rapped up in my rhymes
Make that pencil dance across the paper to the tune of the beat
Where once I focused power and energy as a part of stress relief
I am relieved - purge my mentality of impurities - mental purity
Is what I need, manifesting ideas in 2D - my creativity it feeds

...those concepts materialize in three dimensions
Also shoulda mentioned a little about my intention now pay attention
Different people hear different things - there's so much to take away
From the lyrics without taking away from it - it's hard to explain
Shi-, it is what it is, and I made it what it was
With this stream of consciousness rap generatin' buzz - doin' what it does
And I suggest you do the same, do your own thang in your own way
Fu-- what "they" say - who the fu-- are "they" anyway - heart has no claim

about

E Luv Buffalo Grove, Illinois

I am the Executive Producer of Def Mute Records as well as an artist. Lyrically, not too many rappers put as many lyrics as I do into an average track that has something to say. Versatile, I get down for entertainment value as well too - with just as many lyrics....

My big accolade is the PUMA track - an explicit rap that won some admiration from groups that typically do not like rap.
